Empowering Tanzania's Youth for a Sustainable Future
The Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Development Foundation (YES) is committed to unlocking the potential of Tanzania's youth. Through training, mentorship, and sustainable development initiatives, we help young people thrive and contribute to a brighter future for their communities.
10+ Years of Empowering Youth
Inception of the YES
The YES was established in 2002 with the mission to empower youth in Tanzania through skill development, education, and leadership initiatives. Our goal has always been to create a positive, lasting impact in the communities we serve.
Expansion of Outreach Programs
By 2015, the foundation expanded its outreach programs to include environmental sustainability, health awareness, and entrepreneurship training. This milestone marked a significant increase in the number of youth directly benefiting from our programs.
Launch of Regional Youth Hubs
In 2020, YES launched regional youth hubs across Tanzania to provide young people with access to resources, mentorship, and training that align with local economic opportunities. These hubs have become community lifelines for aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders.
Impact and Vision for the Future
As of 2023, the YES has empowered over 50,000 youth across Tanzania. Our focus continues to be on sustainability, innovation, and leadership development, as we work to equip future generations with the tools they need to thrive.
